BABY REGISTRY MUST HAVES
Hi Friends! Welcome back to Healthy Grocery Girl! Today I’m sharing with you some Baby Registry Must Haves! Our little one is due early April and as we prepare for her arrival I’ve been researching baby registry must haves. When you think of products to get for baby, you probably think of the standard big items such as a crib, stroller, car seat and so on. However, there are a lot of smaller items that can may make life easier for baby and mom! Based on my research and chatting with mommy friends I’ve put together a list of some of items that you may not have thought of, but are a great idea to add to your registry! All of the items in today’s video are from Munchkin, a company I love and am so happy to partner with on this video. Step Diaper Pail + Diaper Pail Refills
When it comes to baby products my husband Aaron is amazing at doing research to help us decide what products we want to move forward with. He reads reviews and compares product benefits, prices and so forth! When I asked him to help me research a diaper pail the Munchkin STEP Diaper Pail was the one that showed up again and again as being the best with amazing reviews! It has a self-sealing system to lock in odor and the Arm & Hamor baking soda puck helps to absorb order to keep the nursery smelling fresh and a step to open the lid!
Secure Grip Changing Pad
I love the Secure Grip Changing Pad we went with. It is simple and classic. It also has these Xtra-Grip strips on the bottom to keep the pad in place, as well as safety straps and the surface is easy to wipe and clean.
Waterproof Liners
These liners are great for extra protection during messy diaper changes. They are waterproof and machine washable!
Portable Sound Machine
I’ve been reading that babies actually prefer sound such as soft white noise or sushing that mimics the sounds that were familiar to them when they were cozy in the womb, versus a completely quiet room. A sound machine is great for that. So a sound machine is perfect for that. The Munchkin Shhh… Portable Sounds Machine has 3 different sounds such as- heartbeat, sushing and white noise. It also has a night light that can glow solid or pulse and an automatic shut off timer and is battery operated and portable so perfect to move around the house or travel with.
Shine Stainless Steel Drying Rack
I love the simple and sleek gray and white design of this Stainless Steel Drying Rack which blends nicely into our kitchen. It can hold up to 8 bottles, cups or breast pump accessories. I also like that the legs are removable so you can customize the rack so that the rack for use both during and beyond the infant and toddler years! Munchkin LATCH Bottles are designed to create a better latch and ease transition from breast to bottle and back. They also have an anti-colic valve.
Stainless Steel Bottle Brush + Replacement Brush Heads
This bottle brush matches our drying rack and has a flexible head so it’s perfect to clean a variety of bottle shapes or sizes. The brush heads are also removable and replaceable!
Speed Bottle Warmer
Munchkin has a variety of bottle warming options. We ended up going with the SPEED bottle warmer which heats a bottle within 90 seconds and the alarm sounds when it’s ready. It can evenly warm food, formula and pumped breast milk.
Lactation Cookies
Munchkin has a line called Milkmakers which are Lactation Cookies, Cookie Mixes & Teas that are great if you’re a mom looking to increase your milk supply. Key cookie ingredients include brewer’s yeast, oats, and flax seed. The cookie ingredients are even safe while pregnant which means if you’re a planner like me – you can try them even before you little one arrives and then stock up so you’re ready to go! They have traditional cookies as well as gluten-free in tasty flavors such as Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Raisin.
Lactation Tea
Milkmakers Lactation Teas are made with quality, natural, USDA Organic ingredients, are naturally caffeine-free and really tasty! Smart Shade Car Shade
We live in Southern California where the sun shines bright – however when you’re driving in the care the sun shining right in your eyes can be annoying and it can also be hot. To keep our baby feeling comfortable we went with these Smart Shades which can roll up or down and help block harmful UVA and UVB rays. They are also extra wide to help block as much sun as possible and this is also the only shade on the market that will roll up and down with the motion of the window which I think is genius! Munchkin has a variety of car shades options on their website.
Baby In Sight Mirror
Another item I didn’t think of but it showed up on lot of baby registry lists was a baby mirror for the car! This way you can look back and see your baby (since infant car seats need to rear facing in in the backseat). Munchkin has a variety of mirror options, we went with the simple Baby In-Sight Auto Mirror.
Diaper Changer
When we’re away from home or maybe just too lazy to walk to the changing table in the nursery – this goPad Diaper Changer will come in handy! It has an extra large cushioned pad that also expands pad to grow with baby, pockets to store wipes or diapers and the pad can detach for easier cleaning. I love that it folds up compact so I can put it in our Diaper Bag when on the go and it also comes with 25 disposable diaper bags.
