My Cider Sipping Elixir Recipe

I love to sip on a tasty bev. Plain water, although so important, can get a tad boring to the taste buds. I have to admit, drinking enough water throughout the day is one of my (gasp) challenges. I know better, I recommend it, and I am human. If I don’t have water in front of me, an hour- two hours- can go by without a sip. So I make sure to always have a beverage with me at my desk, in the car, while I am running errands, and working out, other-wise, out of sight-out, of mind (and mouth).

Some of favorite beverages are; coconut water, kombucha and tea. However, I have recently started making an Apple Cider Vinegar Sipping Elixir as an afternoon thirst quenching treat. Apple Cider Vinegar is a health hip-hip-hooray! Here are the some of the health benefits of ACV:

Internal Health Benefits:

ACV is high in enzymes and potassium, supports a healthy immune system, helps control weight, promotes digestion and pH balance, helps soothe a dry throat, and helps remove body sludge / toxins- hello detoxification!

External Health Benefits:

ACV helps maintain healthy skin, promotes youthful healthy bodies, soothes irritated skin, and relieves muscle pain from exercise.


Cider Sipping Elixir Recipe:


1 cup green or black un-sweetened ice-tea

1 cup cold fresh water

1 tablespoon maple syrup or 1 packet stevia

1-2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

A splash of dark cherry juice (*optional)

2-3 iced cubes

Walla! Yum, healthy and slurpy scrumptious in a glass- Mason Jar of course.
