Easy Toddler Activity – Painting With Lemons

| | | |

Happy April! This month we are focusing even more on sustainability as Earth Day approaches. Many of you know that lemons are one of my favorite fruits, we use them every day! Lemons are incredibly versatile and are great in recipes as well as natural cleaning and fun DIY projects with the kiddos!

After juicing or zesting a lemon, don’t toss it! Lemons can be used as a fun stamp or “paint brush” for painting. Painting with lemons is a great way to reuse an item we already have on hand for some eco-friendly fun!

Try covering a table with a big piece of paper, which provides your toddler or child a large space for creativity and painting! When we receive packages in the mail, they often include brown or white packing paper, I always save the paper for arts and crafts activities – just another way to use items you already have on hand!

See below to view or print this activity! If you paint with your juiced lemons, please share a photo on Instagram and tag me @HealthyGroceryGirl so I can easily find and like your creations! It’s so fun to connect with you and see what recipes you’re enjoying.
