I found your You Tube videos a few months ago and love them. I have been a vegetarian for about 20 years and mostly a plant based vegan the past 5 years. Looking forward to getting more tips for healthy eating.

I became a vegetarian for health reasons. Both of my parents were type 2 diabetic, had high blood pressure and died way to young. My cholesterol was high in my 20s and my doctor was thinking about putting me on statins, but then she suggested I try a vegetarian diet (lucky for me my doctor was a vegetarian). I already loved vegetables, a big salad has always been my favorite meal since I was a teenager so it was pretty easy to transition away from meat. I ended up losing some weight and my cholesterol dropped into the healthy range. My blood pressure and blood sugar are great and I’m not on any medications even though I have younger brothers on statins and high blood pressure medicine. I am sure a healthy diet and exercise have saved me from years of medication.

I like eating more than I like cooking haha that is why all of my recipes I try and make as simple & quick as possible 😉 I’m a true foodie!!
